Qatar Al Youm social media accounts attract more followers

The recently launched Qatar Al Youm (Qatar Today) Twitter and Instagramaccounts have attracted increasing numbers of followers and likes due toits distinguished content of instant local news and comments on keyevents.The accounts, which posts and share local news in Arabic, attracted morepublic attention after the blockade, as its pages have received morethan 130,000 followers from Twitter and Instagram users. The stories andnews video clips have been liked by thousands of users. Qatar Al Youmshares and posts news to raise people’s awareness about the blockade andthe relevant issues, supported by infographics and factualinformation.  The administrators of these accounts stressed they are keen to postbreaking news to raise public awareness. In addition, news are posted ininteresting videos or in a form of commentaries accompanied withrelated videos.“Our goal is to post local news that raise public awareness about thecurrent situation based on reliable sources,” pointed out one of themain founders of the pages.He added that all the efforts of the founders are part of their way ofexpressing their love for their country Qatar and to tell people aboutthe facts and the events taking place.
