Kahramaa opens sub-station with multi-level car parking

An 11/66kv 80mw electricity sub-station with multi-level car parking facility was opened in the city's busy Al Ghanim area on Sunday.

The station, known as New Grand Hamad Electricity Sub-station is located next to the Al Ghanim Bus Station. The parking facility is expected to cater to the requirements of a considerably large number of commercial and residential properties of the densely populated area, at the heart of Doha.While speaking to journalists after a formal inspection of the facility, Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) president Issa bin Hilal al-Kuwari said the QR155mn sub-station, is one of Kahramaa's new and upcoming sub-stations with multi-level car parking. The latest is the third facility of its kind, operated by Kahramaa.
