Seminar highlights key role of physiotherapy

A seminar, ‘Physical Activity for Life’, was organised jointly by the Indian Physiotherapy Forum Qatar and Al Ahli Hospital at Concorde Hotel Doha recently. P Kumaran,  Indian ambassador to Qatar; Dr Loui al-Fakhri, head, Staff Training and Development Department at Al Ahli Hospital; Azaz Swais, head of physiotherapy, Al Ahli Hospital; and Mohamed Yasir, president of Indian Physiotherapy Forum Qatar, attended the seminar. There were a number of presentations at the seminar and a large number of physiotherapy professionals attended the event. The seminar highlighted the need for more awareness in society about the role of physiotherapy as well as the importance of exercise for healthy living. A cake was cut to mark the occasion.
