Liverpool manager Juergen Klopp believes playmaker Philippe Coutinho is still a key part of the squad and can perform well, the German boss said following the 25-year-old’s failed bid to move to Barcelona. Coutinho and Borussia Dortmund winger Ousmane Dembele were Barcelona’s key transfer targets after forward Neymar joined Paris St Germain. While the Spanish club signed Dembele, Liverpool rejected all bids for Coutinho, saying he was not for sale. On Saturday, Liverpool sources dismissed claims made by Barcelona director Albert Soler, who said the Premier League side were demanding 200mn euros for Coutinho.“We have our situation and Dortmund (with Dembele) has another,” Klopp said. “Don’t believe everything in the press or that there are offers here and there and that the minute after the offer has been entered, it should already be over. We have exactly the situation we wanted and no other.”Brazil international Coutinho will return to Anfield after his nation’s World Cup qualifier against Colombia tomorrow.  Coutinho is yet to feature for Liverpool this campaign due to a back injury but is likely to return during the team’s trip to Manchester City in the Premier League on Sept. 9.Wenger confirms Arsenal will revisit move for LemarArsene Wenger has said he will revisit his interest in the Monaco forward Thomas Lemar, after confirming Arsenal submitted a late £92mn bid for the France international before the transfer deadline on Thursday.Wenger said Arsenal met Monaco’s €100mn (£92mn) asking price for the 21-year-old but that Lemar decided against a move away from the Ligue 1 champions. Arsenal made three bids for Lemar earlier in the summer, the biggest being worth €50mn, but even the late €100m offer did not get over the line. Wenger said: “€100mn for Lemar? Yes all true, I wanted him. He decided to stay at Monaco. We will come back for him.” Alexis Sanchez’s proposed move to Manchester City collapsed as a result of Arsenal’s failure to push through a late move for Lemar, with a medical virtually impossible due because the player was on international duty. He scored twice in France’s resounding 4-0 win against Holland on Thursday.Fans’ Nazi chants a ‘shame on Germany’, says  LoewGermany coach Joachim Loew yesterday dubbed as ‘shameful Nazi-era chanting by a hardcore group of ‘so-called fans’ during a World Cup qualifier. The chants of ‘Sieg Heil’ (Hail Victory) came from a 200-strong group of travelling fans in Friday’s 2-1 win over the Czech Republic in Prague. They also whistled during the minute’s silence before kick-off for two deceased Czech officials. The chants were particularly embarrassing from a German perspective as they came on the anniversary of the invasion of Poland by Nazi Germany, which started World War II in 1939.“I can’t turn directly to sporting questions without commenting on what happened in Prague,” Loew said at the start of a press conference ahead of today’s qualifier against Norway in Stuttgart, victory in which could secure Germany’s place in Russia next year.“I’m full of anger and I’m very much shaken to see that some so-called fans use football, and an international match, for their deplorable demonstrations. They bring shame on our country,” Loew said, hailing his players’ decision to not applaud the block where away fans were gathered at the end of the match, as is customary.“I am favourable to very severe sanctions against these troublemakers. We don’t want them, we’re not their national team, and they’re not our fans. Given our history, it’s very important for us to represent our country in a dignified fashion and its values of tolerance, respect and openness to the world. These troublemakers demean this image.”
