Qatar provides a host of facilities for nationals, expatriates and even tourists without any bias or prejudice, IT specialist Riaz Ahmed Bakali said yesterday. While speaking on the live Urdu radio show Haqeeqat, he discussed a number of facilities Qatari government provides for everyone. Qatar does not differentiate between people of any nationality, religion or race when it comes to helping others, Bakali stated. “If you call 911, the emergency staffers talk to you in a language of your preference and the ambulance reaches the person in need immediately without delay and free of cost as well,” he explained.Haqeeqat aims to engage and interact with the large South Asian expatriate community in Qatar. A joint venture of the Gulf Times and Qatar Media Corporation Urdu Radio, it is broadcast from Sunday to Thursday on FM107.
