Heya – The Summer Edition, a mall-based version of the popular Heya Arabian Fashion Exhibition, will kick off on August 25 at Mall of Qatar’s luxury section on the ground floor. To be held until the end of Qatar Summer Festival (QSF) on September 5, the event is set to host 28 local designers who will showcase the latest Qatari fashion creations. In the exhibition’s first rotation between August 25 and 29, fashion enthusiasts and shoppers will find pop-up shops for popular Qatari fashion names such as Harlienz, Debaj and Al Dukan.  Other participants include Moda de Malika, Asma Design, Moudi Boutique, Sarmad, New Concept, Zajel Design, Al Khoose, Sheen Design, Silva’s Dresses, Violin and Black Elegant. The exhibition’s second rotation will follow between August 30 and September 5 at the same location, showcasing a different collection of contemporary modest fashion, including abayas, kaftans, jalabiyas, haute couture gowns and accessories. For every QR200 spent at any of the pop-up shops, shoppers can enter the QSF mega raffle draw being held on the final day of the festival on September 5. They will have the chance to win one of 10 cash prizes or a super luxury car. “These pop-up shops are the result of two of Qatar’s leading tourism events, QSF and Heya Arabian Fashion Exhibition, coming together,” said Saif al-Kuwari, director of public relations and communication at Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA). “As both events are entirely delivered by QTA’s private sector partners, we are very pleased to see more entrepreneurs and small businesses take the opportunities available to help shape the tourism sector and establish the authentic experiences that Qatar is increasingly becoming known for,” he added.Heya–The Summer Edition is being delivered by Design Creationz, organiser of Heya Arabian Fashion Exhibition, Qatar’s longest running bi-annual fashion event. “It is our core mission to support local fashion entrepreneurs. Giving designers the chance to be part of QSF at Mall of Qatar is a unique opportunity for them to gain great market insight and expand their market reach,” Design Creationz spokesperson Esraa Abel said. “The feedback received from designers is extremely positive.”Held under the theme ‘Colour Your Summer’, QSF is a nationwide festival that celebrates the country’s family entertainment, retail and hospitality offerings. In its fourth edition, this year’s festival stretches from Eid al-Fitr to Eid al-Adha.
