Ooredoo has welcomed the recent comments by Qatar’s Communications Regulatory Authority regarding data usage and billing.“There needs to be full transparency on data usage and data costs for customers in this digital age, which is why we invest heavily in developing real-time allowance reading features on the Ooredoo app and on our new Endless Internet Pack service,” Ooredoo’s public relations and corporate communications director Manar Khalifa al-Muraikhi said in a statement. To help raise awareness on the importance of keeping tabs on data subscriptions and allowances, Ooredoo will be posting handy tips on its social media platforms for customers this week.To check their data balance, customers can use the Ooredoo app, Ooredoo’s website, USSD menu or call centre. To enjoy full bill protection on data services, Ooredoo advises customers to subscribe or upgrade to an ‘Endless Internet Pack’ which are available now for business and consumer customers.Endless Internet Packs come with ground-breaking features that allow Ooredoo customers to enjoy never-ending Internet with no additional charges or surprise bills at the end of the month.Instead, Endless Internet Pack subscribers have a never-ending Internet access at all times, enjoying high-speed connection as long as their selected data allowance lasts. Once the allowance of full speed Internet is consumed, it will be followed by unlimited Internet at a reduced speed at no additional cost until the user’s next month’s allowance begins and full-speed usage is renewed. Customers can choose from one of eight Endless Internet Packs ranging from 250MB as an add-on for QR20 to the unlimited pack for QR500. Other denominations include 6GB, 10GB, 14GB, 20GB, 30GB and 45GB packs to be used on top of Shahry Smart subscriptions or as a separate Internet SIM for tablet and laptop use.
