Book fair opens at LuLu in Barwa City

LuLu Group has launched a Book Fair at LuLu Hypermarket, Barwa City. Running until August 20, the event is conducted in association with Crescent book shop, featuring a range of books for varied tastes.The fair was inaugurated by Qatar News Agency chief editor Khaled al-Zeyana, in the presence of Friends Cultural Centre executive director Habeeb Rahman, noted executive member and noted writer Sheela Tomy, LuLu Group regional manager Shanavas P M and other officials and dignitaries.Focused on raising awareness and inculcating the reading habit in a generation more technologically inclined, the LuLu Book Fair is aimed at encouraging reading for knowledge, fun, opportunities and inspiration, especially for the younger generation.The range of books covers fiction, non-fiction, cookery, children’s books, self-help, Islamic, arts, philosophy or history, management, classics and lifestyle.It will also offer a platform for the latest Arab and foreign publications to showcase diverse cultures and literacy styles.
