Qatar Chamber to discuss investment, taxation in UK seminar

Qatar Chamber is slated to participate in a seminar on investment and taxation in London on Thursday, it was announced in a statement.Qatar Chamber said London and Partners is organising the seminar, in cooperation with the Department for International Trade at the office of the British Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and the British embassy in Doha. The event, which will be held at the headquarters of London and Partners, will discuss issues related to investment, commerce, taxation, infrastructure, financial investments, and small and medium-sized enterprises. A number of British officials and experts will speak during the seminar. Qatar Chamber board member Ali bin Abdullatif al-Misnad said the Chamber will participate as part of its ongoing efforts to serve the private sector and the national economy. He noted that the Chamber sent out invitations to businessmen and its members to attend the seminar, which will allow Qatari businessmen to identify investment opportunities in the UK and to communicate with the business community there. In March, Qatar Chamber, in cooperation with the British embassy in Qatar, hosted a seminar on the UK’s taxation system.
