Vodafone outage: experts arrive to solve ‘technical problem’

Vodafone Qatar Tuesday announced the arrival of experts from its global network to Qatar to solve the technical problem that led to the interruption of services across the country. The company said the technical issue was triggered by a routine upgrade done as part of a network modernization programme.

The company said in a press release that the work team has made significant progress in restoring call services on the 2G network, and is currently working to restore communication across its entire network with the help of the experts who arrived this morning to repair the technical fault.

Vodafone also stressed that it was doing its best to restore the service as soon as possible, expressing regret for any delay.
