Doha Festival City (DHFC) officially opened its main entrance recently, granting visitors access to its third corridor, which is home to a wide selection of premium brands. A large number of visitors chose to visit the mall throughout Ramadan and the Eid al-Fitr holidays to enjoy the lifestyle, home, supermarket and entertainment brands, according to a statement from DHFC.Some 25 new stores also opened their doors at the leading entertainment, retail and hospitality destination in Qatar, managed and operated by Al-Futtaim. The opening has “further strengthened DHFC’s leading position as a unique global shopping and lifestyle destination, featuring well-known fashion and beauty brand stores and experiences being added to its already vast offerings”, the statement notes. The mall enhanced its fashion offering with popular French retailer Maje opening its first ever store in Qatar. A number of other brands also opened recently, including flagship and new concept stores Ted Baker, Furla, Bebe, Sandro, Diesel, Adidas and UGG, among others.In addition, DHFC continues to offer customer “convenience at every moment” during a visitor’s time at the mall with its ‘Smart Mall’ enhanced experience.This feature incorporated a number of innovative concepts that are infused with unique technology – from digital wayfinding, smart car parking and free high-speed Wi-Fi to its extensive digital media network. The opening of the mall’s main entrance allows visitors to the VIP valet parking service, which includes the options to add on a tyre pressure check, as well as interior and exterior car cleaning services. “It has been a hugely successful first few months of trading at DHFC with hundreds of thousands of customers enjoying our celebrations during the five days of the Eid al-Fitr weekend – with many repeat visitors choosing to come to us multiple times, exploring all the retailers, offers and events across our mall,” DHFC general manager Trevor Hill said.“Every day, our visitors can look forward to exciting new offerings and plentiful reasons to celebrate,” he added. Visitors were also delighted with a series of activities for families and children of all ages during the holy month of Ramadan.Many mall-goers participated in craft-making workshops, traditional story-telling sessions and a Garangao celebration throughout the mall.More than 3,000 children took part in these activities and 10,000 candy-filled goodie bags were prepared. To celebrate the mall’s first Eid al-Fitr, thousands of visitors were treated to fun-filled surprises and shows as guests were entertained by the Ice Age Collision Course live show, performance artist Ambush Man, the specially themed ‘living’ Museum Statues, and the Joyful Parade and Ardha Dancers.
