Water for farming: Qatar’s achievements reviewed at FAO event

HE the Minister of Municipality and Environment, Mohamed bin Abdullah al-Rumaihi, has reviewed the experience and achievements of Qatar on water use in agriculture along with the ways and areas of use of treated wastewater in animal feeds during a ministerial event on 'Addressing Water Scarcity and improving food Security Under Climate Change - Perspectives from the Near East and North Africa Region.'

HE al-Rumaihi took part in this event on the sidelines of the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) Conference 40th Session.The event included a Ministerial-level discussion on the challenges of climate change, water scarcity and its implications for agriculture, food security and nutrition in the Arab region. Qatar is participating in the conference with a delegation headed by the Minister of Municipality and the Environment, who will discuss a number of issues related to agriculture, food security, water and other related topics.
