QIB launches its new Signature credit card for female customers

Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) has introduced a new VISA Signature credit card dedicated to its female customers.The launch of the QIB Ladies Credit Card comes after the bank introduced its Ladies Banking proposition designed to cater to the financial needs of women in appreciation of their role in Qatari society.The new QIB Ladies Credit Card will provide QIB customers with the “convenience of managing their cash flow by providing an option to pay as low as 5% per month on their card’s outstanding balance”, according to a press statement.QIB Ladies Credit Card holders will enjoy exclusive privileges such as QIB Reward points based on their spends that can be redeemed on purchasing flights from Qatar Airways, oneworld airlines or at Qatar Duty Free shops.The card holders will also benefit from higher credit limits, up to two times their monthly salary.Designed with women customers in mind, the new credit card offers a host of benefits, including Global Concierge services, complimentary access to over 500 airport lounges with the LoungeKey service, exclusive discounts and offers at over 100 merchants/retailers in Qatar and across-the-globe, full multi-trip travel insurance.As is the case with all QIB cards, women will benefit from the one-time password security feature that the bank has added when using the card for online purchases to protect customers’ credit cards and personal information.Further, the recently introduced Visa Checkout Service enables them to make online purchases in a “simple, fast and safe manner”. All QIB women customers will be able to own the card free of charge for the first year.D Anand, general manager of QIB’s Personal Banking Group, said: “This is a product that not only rewards women, but also celebrates their achievements and we are confident that ladies will identify with it.”Other benefits include discounts and promotions at various premium brands in Qatar, such as Fifty East East, Al Jaber Jewellery and Watches, Alfardan Jewellery, VLCC, Movenpick Hotel, Westin Hotel, Wyndham Grand Regency, Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels, The Ritz-Carlton and other outlets providing a wide range of products and services.QIB has 12 dedicated Ladies Banking Centres strategically located in different places around Qatar, which are open from 7.30am to 1pm.
