Moon sighting panel to meet again today

The Moon Sighting Committee of the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) announced it could not sight the crescent moon for the holy month of Ramadan on Thursday evening. The committee has decided to meet on Friday to spot the crescent moon. Thursday’s meeting was held under the chairmanship of HE Dr Thaqeel bin Sayer al-Shammari, the committee said in a statement.
