HE the Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr Mohamed Abdul Wahed Ali al-Hammadi has issued a ministerial decision on the school calendar for the 2017-18 academic year for public schools.
Students will begin classes in the new school year from September 10, while teachers will start work from August 27. The mid-year holidays will run from January 21 until February 1, 2018. The school year will conclude in June, with employee holidays starting on July 8 and continuing until August 26.
