Qatargas honours staff for excellence and long service

The world’s largest liquefied natural (LNG) gas company, Qatargas, recently recognised 677 employees at the annual Long Service Award and Shukran Award Ceremony.The Long Service Award honours employees for their dedicated long-term service while the Shukran Award recognised outstanding achievements by Qatargas employees.Speaking on the occasion, Qatargas chief executive Khalid bin Khalifa al-Thani said that the company has a rich history of recognising exceptional performance.“I am delighted to present this award in recognition of your outstanding contribution towards achieving the Company’s business goals,” he told the winners of the Shukran Award. “I would like to take this opportunity to say my personal ‘shukran’ to all of you, and encourage you to keep up this high level of performance,” he added.Referring to the Long Service Award winners, the chief executive said: “This award is a reflection of your hard work, professionalism and valued contribution, all of which has been instrumental in making Qatargas what it is today – the world’s premier LNG company.”During the ceremony, a total of 179 Qatargas employees were presented the Shukran Award in recognition of their exceptional performance in 2016.In addition, 498 employees received a Long Service Award in acknowledgement of their service and contribution to the success of the company over the years.
