Chance of light rain in Qatar on Friday, Saturday

A chance of light rain on Friday and Saturday is forecast by the Qatar Met Department along with the formation of thunder clouds in some places at times. The weather office stated in a report on Thursday that hot weather would continue to prevail around the country with slight dust during the day. Winds during this period would mostly be northwesterly-northeasterly inshore, blowing at a speed of 5-15 knots and reaching 18 knots occasionally by midday.

The temperature will range from the end-30C to early-40C levels in different parts of the country, which is around the average levels for May, the report states. No marine warnings are expected during this period and the sea will be suitable for different activities, according to the Met department. The wave height is likely to range from 2-4/5ft while the wind speed may go up to 18 knots at times.
