Under the Patronage of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, the 17th edition of the Doha Forum will begin on Sunday under the theme “Development, Stability and Refugee Crisis”. At a press conference, the chief of the forum’s organising committee Dr Ibrahim bin Saleh al-Nuaimi reviewed the themes that will be addressed in the two-day event. He explained that the topics include the current political transformations at the international level, the challenges of economic development, investment, oil and gas, the political and economic role in refugee crisis, and the human and legal dimensions in dealing with these issues. He pointed out that in the context of these topics, several meetings will be held on refugees and issues related to education and health, human, legal and security rights. The opening session will be held under the title “International Co-operation and the Importance of Political and Economic Stability.” HE the Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani will deliver a welcoming speech.
