Mashreq Qatar has strengthened and enhanced its award-winning mobile banking application, Snapp. Customers now have the option of registering directly on to the app via their debit or credit card to create a username or password. If customers already have an existing account on MashreqOnline, they have the option of using their existing username and password. Snapp users have the ability of fully-control spending on their debit or credit cards, alongside security features that allow them to instantly lock the card and block spends by country. Customers may also modify their daily transaction limits by amount on card and generate PIN for transactions. The updated version of Snapp still carries its previous security features such as finger print access. As Snapp is integrated with Apple’s virtual personal assistant Siri, iPhone users have the option of sending money by using voice instructions. Snapp also comes with built-in notifications through the in-app alert feature that informs the customer on what is happening with their registered bank account and associated card. In addition to this, the customer can manage the alerts they receive, and view previous transaction alerts and notifications. Tooran Asif, head of retail banking at Mashreq Bank Qatar, said: “Snapp is the most enhanced solution for banking today as time is becoming more and more of a precious commodity. People need to be able to bank on the go and this app is the most efficient, secure and convenient mobile banking solution. “This update further reiterates Mashreq’s dedication in bringing the best of today’s mobile banking world to our valued customers and ensure that Mashreq’s services are easily accessible and only a fingerprint away.”
