Another windy, dusty day likely today

Qatar is likely to experience another day of strong winds (in most areas), dusty conditions and poor visibility today, the Met department has said.The weather office has also issued a warning for windy conditions and high seas in offshore areas today.On Tuesday, the Met department had said weather charts indicated the continuation of northwesterly windy conditions in the country, with the conditions expected to intensify today and tomorrow. The wind speed may go up to 35 knots inshore and 36 knots offshore at times, with the sea level rising to 12ft in some places. Today’s detailed forecast says it will be hot during the day and slight to blowing dust is likely in some places along with scattered clouds. Visibility may drop to 2km or lower in some places at times.The maximum temperature will be 37C in Doha, Wakrah and Mesaieed today. Yesterday, it was 39C in Mesaieed and Turayna, and 38C in Doha, Qatar University area, Sheehaniya, Al Rayyan and Batna.
