Owners Saad Salem al-Hajri and Al Sraiya Stud picked up two class victories each on day two of the 5th Qatar National Arabian Horse Show for Individual Owners 2017 at Al Shaqab’s Indoor Arena on Saturday.Al Hajri had two Class wins on the opening day of the horse show on Friday too.On Saturday, D Jaleel, owned by al-Hajri, topped Class 4B for Yearling Colts amassing 90.3 points, while Fadal Alnaama, owned by Mohamed Hamad Nasser al-Mohana al-Naimi, with 89.6 points to his name, edged out Al Reeh Stud’s Al Murtajiz Al Reeh (89.4) for the second spot.In Class 5 for 2yo Colts, al-Hajri’s D Naseem, who won the Championship Bronze among the Colts in the last edition of the event a year ago, led a one-two for the owner. D Naseem was awarded 90.3 points, while a half-a-point advantage for Type gave Tammar Al Zobair the second spot, after having tied with Al Marroona Stud’s Md Hermes at 89.9 points.Al Sraiya Stud’s Amaar Al Nasser and Al Jazeera topped classes 6A for 3yo Colts and 7A for 4-6yo Mares respectively.In a close call for the top spot, Amaar Al Nasser and Hamad Mohamed Fadgham Amer al-Hajri’s D Saddad were both awarded 89.5 points by the four judges. But having earned 0.5 more in Type meant that Amaar Al Nasser topped the class, while Faraj Al Shaqab (88.5), owned by Saad Salem al-Hajri, also made it through to the Championship round with a third place.Class 7A had lesser drama with Al Jazeera impressing the judges enough for her 92.0 point haul, while Mesfer Mohammed Mesfer al-Hajri’s Deema Al Nasser, the Champion Mare of the 2nd Qatar National Peninsula Arabian Horse Show for Individual Owners 2017 in January 2017, settled for the second spot with 91.3 points. Ghanim Mubark al-Kuwari’s Shania NWA had 90.8 points for her third spot.Class 4A for Yearling Colts was won by Abdulla Misnad al-Misnad’s Diab having collected 91.3 points. Faisal Mohamed al-Naemi’s Morjan Alhawajer (90.3) and Al Khor Stud’s Mansour Al Khor (89.9) also made it to the Championship round with a second and third place finish respectively.Mai Ahmad Saad Abdul Aziz al-Boinin’s Naif Al Zaeem topped Class 6B for 3yo Colts with 91.0 points, ahead of second-placed Hesson Al Shaqab (90.4), owned by Saad Salem al-Hajri, and third-placed Thahab Ajman, owned by Al Marroona Stud (89.8).Kaheel Stud’s Mounira J (91.0) won Class 7B for 4-6yo Mares to make it to the Championship round along with Nasser Mohammed Mesfer al-Hajri’s Farona (90.9) and another one of Saad Salem al-Hajri’s horses, Rahaf Al Shahania (89.8), who finished second and third respectively.After coming close to topping a class on the day, owners Al Reeh Stud and Nasser Mohammed Mesfer al-Hajri tasted success in the last two class events of the day.Al Reeh Stud’s Ag Di Giada (92.0) topped Class 8 for 7-10yo Mares, ahead of Ghanem bin Ali al-Mohannadi’s Wardat Elkhaleej (90.3) and Al Yashrah Stud’s Bellatrix (89.3) for her place in the finale.Nasser Mohammed Mesfer al-Hajri’s Wasa impressed the judges for her 93 point haul to win Class 9 for 11yo and older Mares. Al Sraiya Stud’s Lamana (91.5) and Al Kaheel Stud’s Wkra (91.1) completed the top.
