Orphans from the Qatar Orphan Foundation (Dhreima) have benefitted from Katara – the Cultural Village’s humanitarian event.
The event engaged children in a number of activities such as visual art workshops conducted by artists and supervised by wives of ambassadors and heads of mission (Wohom) delegates.
Bouncing castles, face-painting, and group games were also organised by a team of volunteers to entertain beneficiaries.
In a statement, Katara noted that it spared no efforts in ensuring children were entertained with characters, pop-corn kiosks, and their favourite refreshment and music.
Wohom delegates expressed their happiness and appreciation to Katara for hosting such event that aims to enrich the society with humanitarian acts while serving the community.
“The event is a true reflection of Katara’s commitment to incorporate the values of inclusiveness, generosity and understanding into the scope of its programmes,” Katara said. The event concluded with a gift distribution.
