Doha Health Control Section conducts inspection campaigns

Doha Municipality's Health Control Section has conducted an inspection campaign on food establishments within various areas of Doha with the participation of specialist health inspectors and veterinarians.

The campaign resulted in spotting a number of violations including a restaurant at Al Sadd Area keeping rotten fruits and vegetable in the fridge, in addition to keeping prepared meals in unsuitable temperature, in particular chicken and meat products.

Another restaurant was spotted keeping expired food products. At the Old Airport Area, a supermarket was spotted selling expired food products, and another for storing food products in unhealthy conditions.

Legal procedures were taken against the outlets in accordance with law no 8 for 1990 on Human Food Regulations.
