HMC to host top orthopaedic surgeons

The Bone and Joint Center (BJC) at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) will host two top international orthopaedic surgeons this month. They are Prof Michel Onimus from France, who specialises in scoliosis and spine surgery, and Dr Duncan Whitwell, a knee surgeon from the UK.Dr Whitwell, visiting Doha from April 13 to 17, will see patients at BJC’s outpatient clinics from 8am to 3pm on April 13 and 16. He will conduct surgeries during the rest of his stay in Doha. Prof Onimus, in Doha from April 19 to 24, will attend to patients at the BJC’s outpatient clinic on April 19, 20 and 24. He will conduct surgeries on April 21 and 22. The expert professor will also do patient rounds and hold educational activities at the BJC on April 24.The surgeons’ visit is in line with HMC’s drive to exchange expertise and share innovative medical treatment techniques with international experts in various medical specialities.Patients who wish to see the visiting consultants can book appointments at the Bone and Joint Center during work hours from 7am to 3pm.
