Getting ready for anniversary celebration

Members of the Living History Society, acting as Philippine and US soldiers, march after re-enacting a scene of the “Battle of the Pockets” between allied and Japanese forces during World War II, at Camp Aguinaldo in Manila yesterday. The re-enactment of the 1942 battle was held ahead of the 75th anniversary of the “Araw ng Kagitingan” (Day of Valour) to be held on April 9.
