International Bank of Qatar (IBQ) hosted a private workshop on ‘International real estate investment’ for its “influential” women customers of private banking, which showcased the fundamental knowledge and necessary tools on understanding residential and commercial real estate in the United Kingdom. The workshop was headed by Azeemeh Zaheer, CEO, Naissance Capital Real Estate, who shed light on several topics including residential valuation, foreign ownership considerations, asset management and developments in the UK real estate market. Women represent a key customer segment of IBQ, the bank said. Azeemeh held several training workshops across the GCC region and a specialised training session in London for a number of ‘Forbes 100 most influential Arab women’, besides teaching a real estate finance MBA programme in a university in Jeddah. Chaouki Daher, general manager and head (Private Banking) at IBQ, said, “This workshop is another example of how IBQ is sharing the best in global expertise with our private banking clients. In recent years, we have worked hand-in-hand with our clients to explore new avenues for diversifying their investment portfolios and expanding their investment horizons. Our workshop with Qatari women is also testament to the growing role and influence that women have in Qatar’s private banking world. Our aim is to always offer our women private banking customers elite wealth management services.”“Our strength resides in 60 years of experience in Qatar, deep understanding of the local and regional markets, combined with sophisticated financial and investment expertise. Our clients are at the very core of every product and service we provide. We cultivate solid, long-lasting relationships founded on trust, integrity and high level of confidentiality. We have a disciplined approach to wealth management and we like to keep it simple to our customers. Throughout these workshops, we aim at equipping our female customers with tools and information to help them in taking financial decisions,” Daher added. IBQ said it “takes pride in having served generations of high net-worth Qatari families and maintaining enduring relationships for more than 60 years.”
