Copthorne Hotel Doha hosted a table setting workshop for over 80 Best Buddies Qatar (BBQ) female members aged 14-16 years. The BBQ members were from Rawda Bint Jassim, Al Rayyan Al-Jadeed, Rabiea Al-Aldawia, and Al-Selia secondary schools for girls.This workshop focused on the attendees’ knowledge of table setting and how it can enhance the enjoyment of a meal. Reda Ali, Food and Beverage Manager of Copthorne Hotel Doha, held a class during which he explained the basic formal order and place of dishes, glasses, spoons, forks, knives, and the designs of napkins on the dining table. After the class, the hotel team organised a table setting competition. BBQ members from Seilia School were the most accurate in the task and they were granted Copthorne Hotel Doha Certificate for getting the first place. The event ended up with a healthy lunch provided by the hotel.Kabalan Frangieh, the Genaral Manager, said: “We are very glad to organise this workshop for Best Buddies Qatar members to train them in basic hospitality skills. It will be our pleasure to host more events [for] Best Buddies Qatar.”Separately, 32 Best Buddies Qatar Primary Schools Program members from Al Israa and Al Nahda Primary Schools for Girls visited the Fire Station Artist in Residence to see the Picasso and Giacometti exhibition. Laalei Abu Alfain, the Executive Director at Best Buddies Qatar, expressed her gratitude to Copthorne Hotel Doha and Qatar Museums for their support.
