Meeting reviews Qatar, Canada ties

The Minister of Economy and Commerce HE Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohamed al-Thani yesterday met Canadian Minister of International Trade, Francois-Philippe Champagne, and the delegation accompanying him. The meeting, in Doha, reviewed bilateral relations and aspects of mutual co-operation between the two countries, particularly in the economic, commercial and investment fields, and means of developing these. The trade volume between Qatar and Canada amounted to nearly QR654.6mn in 2015. Canada ranks as Qatar’s 39th trade partner.
