Saudi Aramco to shut Riyadh refinery for maintenance

Saudi Aramco plans to shut its 126,000 barrels per day (bpd) crude oil refinery in Riyadh for planned maintenance from March 1 for 80 days, the state news agency reported on Tuesday.The shutdown is to complete construction-related work and tie-in the units of the refinery with a clean fuel project.The company will increase the production of diesel, gasoline, kerosene, asphalt and LPG from other refineries to meet demand during the shutdown, SPA quoted the company as saying.
