Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) has celebrated Engineers Day under the patronage and in the presence of its president and senior engineer Essa bin Hilal al-Kuwari, and Qatar Rail managing director Abdulla bin Abdulaziz al-Subaie.Qatar Society of Engineers chairman Ahmad Jassim Jolo, Qatar University College of Engineering dean Dr Khalifa bin Nasser al-Khalifa and a number of senior engineers from Kahramaa were also present.The event came within the corporation’s efforts to attain its objective in attracting and developing qualified employees as well as supporting Qatarisation.The event featured presentation of three working papers. They were ‘Planning and Developing Electricity Networks/Tasks and Challenges’, presented by Maghdeem Ahmed al-Nama, ‘Successful Applications Implemented in Water Maintenance Section’ by Alyasser Abdulla Mashhadi and ‘Qatari Engineer, Achievements and Challenges’ by Mohamed Yousuf al-Kubaisi and Abdulla Hamad al-Qahtani.
