A designer boutique and phone repair shop were raided in two smash-and-grab motorbike burglaries on Chelsea’s exclusive King’s Road.High-end shop Michael Kors was broken into at around 10pm on Friday, leaving glass shattered across the street and expensive handbags scattered on the pavement.Just a few hundred metres down the road, phone repair shop iSmash was burgled at around the same time, police said. The two smash-and-grabs, involving motorbikes, happened at the same time that hundreds of motorcyclists gathered nearby for a candlelit vigil in memory of a biker.Police say they are making inquiries to find out whether the break-ins were linked to the vigil, which happened outside Chelsea Town Hall on Kings Road. One man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of burglary in relation to the i-Smash incident — but no one has yet been arrested in connection with the Michael Kors break-in.A spokesperson from the Met Police said: “Property believed to relate to the burglary at Michael Kors was recovered nearby — there have been no arrests.”I-Smash offers services to repair and personalise phones, tablets and computers.
