Post-Trump currency carnage wanes with yen last big loser

Major developed currencies have all bounced back from the rout that followed Donald Trump’s November 8 election win, with those from the UK, Sweden and Canada even in the black, according to Bloomberg. Sweden’s krona has staged the most impressive turnaround, rebounding from a loss of as much as 4.8% to be 1.6% stronger than it was the day of the US vote. The yen remains the most vulnerable to the reflation trade – it’s lost 8.2% since Trump’s victory, after tumbling as much as 11% to 118.66 per dollar reached on December 15.
