King of Spain meets al-Nasser

King Felipe VI of Spain has met with Nassir bin Abdulaziz al-Nasser, Qatar’s High Representative for the United Nations Alliance of Civilisations.The meeting touched on the UN objectives and activities aimed at promoting tolerance and dialogue among cultures and respect for others as well as the promotion of religious and cultural pluralism.Al-Nasser praised the king, and the Spanish government support of the Alliance. Both Spain and Turkey support the United Nations Alliance of Civilisations since its inception.The meeting with King Philip came within the context of al-Nasser’s participation in the International Tourism Organisation meeting, which opened on January 18 in Madrid under the title: “2017 a year of sustainable tourism.”
