The Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC), in collaboration with Saleh Al Hamad Al Mana Company, has announced the recall of Nissan Maxima model year 2016 over a potential defect in the Electronic Control Module of the rear O2 sensor.The MEC said the recall campaign comes within the framework of its ongoing efforts to protect consumers and ensure that car dealers follow up on vehicle defects and repairs.The ministry will co-ordinate with the dealer to follow up on the maintenance and repair works and communicate with customers to ensure that the necessary repairs are carried out. These included consignments of cosmetics, electrical appliances, toys, tyres, iron, automobile spare parts, bitumen (60/70) and others. In a statement, the organisation stressed that it is keen to allow into the country high-quality goods that are compliant with approved Qatari specifications and standards, and prevent the entry of counterfeited, bad or defective goods of any type.‘Community house’ on Jan 29The monthly community house at the Indian embassy will be held on January 29 between 3pm and 4pm to address any urgent consular and labour related issues of Indian nationals. Ambassador P Kumaran along with other embassy officials will meet aggrieved expatriates at the community house.
