Sadd’s Khalfan ruled out for three weeks

Influential winger and Qatar national team player Khalfan Ibrahim has been ruled out for at least three weeks due to a hamstring injury according to Al Sadd.The announcement comes ahead of Al Sadd’s upcoming Round 14 Qatar Stars League match against Al Kharaitiyat, which will kick off at Al Khor Stadium tomorrow.The club said that Khalfan has already undergone medical tests and X-rays at Aspetar. The player will now complete an intense rehabilitation programme over the next three weeks.Al Sadd will now miss both Khalfan and Hassan al-Haydoos against Al Kharaitiyat, considering the latter has already undergone a minor surgery in Germany and is also expected to be sidelined for three weeks.Al Sadd will be looking to bolster their chances of taking the QSL title this year by keeping the pressure up on League leaders Lekhwiya, who have a two-point lead over them.
