Quality Mall opens at Al Khor

Quality Mall at Al Khor, the latest venture of Quality Group International, opened yesterday at a function attended by many dignitaries.Indian ambassador P Kumaran, Kenyan ambassador Galma Mukhe Boru, prominent Qatari entrepreneurs Sheikh Abdulla bin Ahmed bin Jassim al-Thani, Sheikh Jassim Tamir al-Thani, Mohamed al-Bakhri, Abdulla al-Amodi, Ibrahim al-Malki  and Doha Bank Group CEO R Seetharaman were among those present.The guests joined Quality Group International chairman Shamsuddin Olakara for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the formal opening. The centrally located business centre, built along the road from Al Khor to Doha, has ample parking space.The group, said Olakara, has a couple of major projects in the pipeline for this year and he hoped that the new ventures would be favourably received by the country’s residents.The newly opened mall features a range of franchises, outlets and independent kiosks with clothing outlets, fashion accessories, home appliances, electronics and more. The mall also has such facilities as a money exchange, beauty salon, confectionery, laundry, pharmacy and an elaborate food court, offering multiple cuisines and fast food joints. The food court would open soon. The second phase of expansion is already underway and an entertainment zone featuring a bowling centre, virtual cricket and football centre, gaming zone and a conceptual snow house is scheduled for opening to coincide with the Qatar National Sport Day.
