Industry advisory board inaugurated at Stenden University

Al Faisal Holding chairman HE Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim al-Thani has inaugurated the new industry advisory board of Stenden University Qatar (SUQ).Speaking at the first board meeting under his chairmanship, HE Sheikh Faisal highlighted the role of the board in assisting SUQ in achieving its goals, which are aligned with Qatar’s National Vision 2030. The board members have been acquainted with the history of the university, its main academic and non-academic activities, and the plans for its future development through a presentation given by Dr Ivan Ninov, executive dean, SUQ. University alumni and current students were invited to the meeting to share their overall experience at SUQ. SUQ industry advisory board will meet biannually and provide its members with an opportunity to share and discuss ideas about the future development of the university. The board will serve as one of the pillars of the university by supporting its strategic planning activities and in further developing its academic curriculum. The board will also assist SUQ with internship, employment, and sponsorship opportunities for its students and alumni.  The inauguration was attended by Katara Hospitality CEO Hamad al-Mulla, Msheireb Properties CEO Abdulla al-Mehshadi, Qatar Stock Exchange CEO Rashid al-Mansoori, Aiana Hotels and Resorts CEO Amruda Nair, and Dr Craig Thompson, head of Stenden Hotel Management School in the Netherlands.
