Doha Bank move to promote paperless banking practices

Doha Bank is running a campaign that aims to promote green banking practices and encourage customers to switch to paperless accounts by providing them with rewards and incentives when they register for e-Statement.Along with receiving their account and credit card statement on their personal e-mail ID, customers registering for the e-Statement facility will now earn a chance to win a Doha Sooq discount voucher worth QR1,000, thanks to an exclusive promotion from Doha Bank, according to a statement.The promotion is valid until December 31 and winners can instantly redeem their discount vouchers on Doha Sooq (www.dohasooq.com).Each account and card registered entitles the customer to one chance in the draw, with a total of three winners announced every month. Customers can register their cards and accounts for e-Statement through their online or mobile banking service.“e-Statements offer a secure and eco-friendly alternative to traditional paper statements, allowing customers to eliminate paper waste and reduce their carbon footprint,” said Gul Khan, head of retail at Doha Bank. “As well as offering enhanced personal privacy, e-Statements provide customers with round-the-clock access to their statements and transactions so that they can keep track of spending anytime they need to. “Besides, having their monthly statements sent directly into their inbox means customers no longer need to worry about misplacing their statements or losing them during transit through the postal service.”Customers registering for e-Statement can access up to 12 months of their past statements by logging into to their Doha Bank online banking account.Doha Bank has won a number of awards over the past decade for its contribution to environmental protection, the statement notes. Major annual environmental initiatives undertaken by the bank include the Al Dana Green Run and the Eco-Schools Programme.
