Stealing money from parked vehicle: Expat gets one year jail

A Doha Criminal Court has sentenced an expatriate to one year in jail and ordered his subsequent deportation for stealing money from a parked vehicle.

The incident occurred after the victim parked his vehicle outside a shopping mall, local Arabic daily Arrayah reported.When the man came back, he found one of the windows broken and a bag containing more than QR36,000 was missing. He reported the matter to the police. A subsequent investigation led the police to the culprit through his fingerprints.
