Huawei launches Mate 9 smartphone in Qatar

Technology major Huawei formally launched its “most anticipated” device – Huawei Mate 9 at an event held at the Hotel Crowne Plaza here recently. Representatives of Huawei’s distributors and other leading retailers in Qatar attended the event organised by Huawei’s Consumer Business Group.The smartphone bears a dual rear camera setup designed in collaboration with Leica, which is certainly the highlight feature.According to Huawei, the key features of Mate 9 include performance in design, redefined speed, advanced battery, stunning photography and groundbreaking UX (user experience).  The highlight of the Huawei Mate 9 is the new artificial intelligence feature, which will learn the daily habits of the user. The newest member of the Mate Series delivers business users a breakthrough Android experience – featuring the fastest computing performance available today, breakthrough ‘SuperCharge’ technology and a “stunning” new UX.The Huawei Mate 9 is a dynamic interplay of industry-leading hardware and advanced software that work together to keep users a step ahead. The handset has been priced at QR2,299 in Qatar. Huawei’s bundle offer includes fitness tracker (Honor Band A1) and a bluetooth headset. Huawei Mate 9 will have colour options including ‘Space Gray’, ‘Moonlight Silver’, ‘Champagne Gold’, ‘Mocha Brown’ and ‘Ceramic White’ in 64GB. A Huawei spokesman said the Mate 9 ‘VIP Service’ entitles customers to two years standard warranty, first three months screen damage and handset replacement warranty, free engraving and free pickup and delivery service.
