The MoI officials disclosed at a press conference the details of 11 contracts which were worth a total of 260.050mn. The briefing was attended by Milipol Qatar Committee president Brigadier Nasser bin Fahad al-Thani, MoI Financial Affairs director and Milipol Committee member Brigadier Ahmad Abdulla al-Jamal and the General Directorate of Logistics assistant director general Brigadier Saud Rashid al-Shafi. The biggest single contract, for QR140mn, was awarded to Ares Beskitas of Turkey for the supply of equipment and weapons for the MoI boats.While Airbus Defence & Space bagged a work worth QR11.5mn for the maintenance, support and upgradation of the Tetra System, De La Rue Int Ltd won a contract for QR22.250mn for supplying travel document printers. GET Group won a QR10mn worth contract for the maintenance of printers and their consumables while the Safran Identity & Security was successful in bidding for a contract worth QR7.8mn for the renovation of the finger printing system and expansion of finger printing database devices. Abdullah Abdul Ghani & Bros Co, dealers of Toyota and Lexus vehicles, won a contract for supplying 120 different types of Toyota vehicles for QR25.4mn and Saleh Hamad Al Mana Co, the distributors of Nissan vehicles, bagged a contract worth QR6.7mn for the supply of 30 Nissan cars. Gulf Business Machines won a QR21.7mn contract for the licenses for operating programmes and the development of the central systems of information systems of the Ministry of Interior. The Telco International was awarded a QR7.8mn contract for the maintenance and data collection of traffic radar devices. Al Tanmiyah bagged a QR4.4mn work for the maintenance and data collection for traffic radar devices while Sail Labs Technology of Austria bagged a QR2.5mn contract for comprehensive media monitoring systems. This year's edition of Milipol Qatar concludes today.
