The decomposed body of a 44-year-old Indian national was found at a location in Doha's Old Airport area (Mathar Qadheem).

According to sources in the expatriate community, the deceased has been identified as Kadavathu Peedikayil Akram (Pictured), who had been missing for about a week.

He was last seen leaving his office last Tuesday, sources added. Akram had been running some three translation centres in different parts of Doha, including a branch in Najma.

He was a native of Azhikode in Kerala's Kannur district and had been living in Doha with his wife and four children, inquiries found.

The police are investigating the case and the body has been moved to the Hamad General Hospital mortuary, a source in the community said.
