Top French honour for ambassador

French President Francois Hollande has awarded HE Sheikh Mishaal bin Hamad bin Mohamed al-Thani, Qatar’s outgoing ambassador to France, the National Order of Merit with the rank of Commander. The National Order of Merit is designed to honour high-ranking French and foreign military and civilian dignitaries.GMC Envoy model recalledThe Ministry of Economy and Commerce, in collaboration with Mannai Trading Company, has announced the recall of GMC Envoy, model year 2006-2007 over a potential defect in the Head Lamps Driver Module as it may not operate properly in the thermal environment.The MEC said the recall campaign comes within the framework of its ongoing efforts to protect consumers and ensure that car dealers follow up on vehicle defects and repairs.The MEC will co-ordinate with the dealer to follow up on the maintenance and repair works and communicate with customers to ensure that the necessary repairs are carried out.
