Rescue operation underway at the site where 14 persons were killed and over a dozen injured when a private bus carrying passengers fell into a water-filled ditch near Ratlam in Madhya Pradesh yesterday morning. Although the cause of the accident is yet to be established, police believe the driver apparently lost control while speeding near the open-cast mine pit, leading to the accident. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has condoled the loss of lives in the accident.
