The Gulf Organisation for Industrial Consulting (Goic) has received the ISO 9001-2008 Quality Management System Certification in the area of market and industrial study, and industrial market intelligence services within GCC region. The certification was presented to Goic by internationally-acclaimed British Standards Institution (BSI), a UKAS-accredited body. The United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) is the sole national accreditation body for the UK and is recognised by government, to assess against internationally-agreed standards, organisations that provide certification, testing, inspection, and calibration services.Goic secretary general Abdulaziz bin Hamad al-Ageel said: “The certification highlights Goic’s support for the GCC industrial sector by validating Goic’s commitment to the highest standard of Quality Management System requirements. I would like to thank BSI for their support and professionalism throughout the whole process of the certification.”ISO 9001-2008 certification is considered the most prominent global system in quality management. The implementation of such a quality management system within Goic allows it to monitor the quality of its operations at all levels, in addition to assessing and developing performance. It also allows for sustainable services by identifying processes to improve operations continuously, while focusing on customers as the primary requirement. The continuous inclusion of all employees on a business team is “critical” to its sustainable success, Goic said. “During the process, employees’ involvement led to a personal investment in the project, and in turn, created motivated and committed teams. In a nutshell, Goic’s ISO 9001 certification is considered a paradigm step towards more future success,” Goic added.
