Weather expected to be stable during Eid holidays

Hot weather is likely during the holidays along with some scattered clouds.
Stable weather is expected in Qatar during the Eid al-Adha holidays, the Met department has said.
In a statement on Saturday, the department said hot weather is likely during this period along with some scattered clouds during the day. Humidity levels will increase at night and hazy to misty conditions are expected early in the day with a chance of fog patches over some areas, which may cause visibility to drop below 2km.The maximum temperature in the country is expected to range between 37C and 41C, and may reach a high of 43C in the central and southern areas on Wednesday, September 14, while the minimum is likely be 23C to 28C. Overall, the conditions will start getting milder in the coming period – and it will feel less humid - with a gradual decline in the mercury level, according to the weather office.Northwesterly to northeasterly winds (light to moderate) are expected in general, becoming northeasterly to southeasterly on Wednesday. “The sea state will continue to be slight throughout the holiday with suitable weather conditions for various sea activities,” the forecast states. A maximum wave height of 4ft is expected during this period.Poor visibility is expected in some places in the early hours of Sunday. It will be hazy to misty/foggy in some places at first, followed by a hot day with some clouds. It will be relatively humid by night, while visibility may drop to 2km or less in some places at first.Offshore areas are likely to see hazy conditions on Sunday.Batna and Karana recorded the highest temperature in the country on Saturday at 41C, followed by 39C in Sheehaniya. In the capital, the mercury level reached a high of 37C in the Doha airport area.The maximum temperature on Sunday is expected to be 38C in Doha and Al Khor.Latest weather updates can be followed through the Met department’s website and various social media accounts.
