QC launches online registration serviceQatar Chamber (QC) has launched the Certificate of Origin Online system for private sector companies through its website.QC said it aims to limit manual transactions in the future and to digitise all procedures through its website. It urged all companies to register for the service so as to save time and effort.Al Anoud Zayed al-Mohannadi, QC’s acting head of the member affairs department, said that despite the seminars held by the chamber to brief the business society on the service, the number of registered companies remains below target.MEC urges caution on stationery purchasesThe Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC) has offered families some advice on how to shop smartly in preparation for the back-to-school season. People should plan carefully before going to shop for school to ease the involved financial burden, save time and efforts and make better choices more suitable for their children. MEC advised people to look for outlets those sell stationery at wholesale prices. They should encourage their children on making frugal choices and avoid buying unnecessary things and try to share the things that are not of daily use. MEC also advised parents to consider the various options of the available private and government schools, comparing prices and services. Besides, the local families that enjoy the service of education coupons should calculate the fees that they have to pay as extra if any before going for a certain school.Hunting season begins on Nov 1The Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) has announced the 2016-2017 hunting season for some wild animals and birds.The season for hunting some categories of migratory birds will last until May 1, 2017. The hunting of houbara bustard should be through falcons only. Non-traditional tools and hunting equipment will be banned. As for wild rabbits, the hunting season will be from November 1 to December 15. Hunting will be allowed only by way of falcons and dogs.
