Indonesian President Joko Widodo met HE the Minister of Economy and Commerce Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohamed al-Thani, on the sideline on the 12th World Islamic Economic Forum, currently underway in Jakarta.In a statement issued yesterday, the Ministry of Economy and Commerce said the meeting addressed the Qatari-Indonesian relations and means to promote them in addition to aspects of co-operation, particularly in the economic, trade and investment fields.The Indonesian president entrusted the minister with his greetings to HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani.Charge d’Affaires at the Qatari embassy in Jakarta, Abdulaziz bin Ali al-Nuaimi, attended the meeting. HE Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohammed al-Thani also met the Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak on the sidelines of the 12th World Islamic Economic Forum. The meeting focused on bilateral relations and aspects of co-operation particularly in the economic, trade and investments fields.Qatar takes partin counter-terrormeeting in CairoThe first meeting of the joint committee of experts from Arab justice and interior ministries started yesterday at the Arab League headquarters to discuss the modernisation of Arab agreements on counter-terrorism and the Arab strategy and Arab law, under the presidency of Iraq.The two-day meeting aims to discuss legislation related to counter-terrorism, Qatar’s delegation to the meeting comprises Ali Mohamed al-Yerboui, assistant director of the agreements and international co-operation department at the Ministry of Justice, and Major Ahmed Abdullah al-Harami, assistant director of the legal affairs department at the Ministry of Interior.
