Qatar, Sudan discuss ports, marine transportation ties

A delegation from the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MoTC) has met Sudan’s Minister of Transport, Roads and Bridges, Mohamed Awad, during a visit in Sudan.The MoTC said the meeting focused on bilateral relations between the two countries in the field of transport, as well as boosting co-operation in the field of ports and marine transportation, and discussed means of further enhancing them.Members of the delegation also paid a visit to the Port of Sudan Port – the country’s largest, and were briefed on its work mechanism and operational technologies.Headed by Hassan al-Hail, who is adviser to HE the Minister of Transport and Communications Jassim Seif Ahmed al-Sulaiti, the delegation also included Captain Abdulla al-Khanji, CEO of Qatar Ports Management Company, and Nasser Qaddar, director of the Ministry’s Maritime Transportation Licensing and Planning Department.
