Aspire Zone Foundation’s Ramadan Sports Festival concludes

Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) has brought the fifth annual Ramadan Sports Festival (RSF) to a close. The event attracted more than 1,000 participants in 11 different sports over two weeks.For the duration of RSF, AZF’s indoor and outdoor venues hosted members of the community taking part in football, volleyball, basketball, futsal, cricket, tennis, and table tennis tournaments as well as a walking competition around Aspire Dome.Commenting on the conclusion of RSF, Abdullah Aman al-Khater, xhairman of the Ramadan Organising Committee at AZF, said: “We have successfully concluded the fifth edition of RSF and are proud of our accomplishments, both from an organisational perspective and in terms of the level of engagement from the community, which has exceeded expectations”.Qatar-Luxembourg relations hailedGrand Duke Henri of Luxembourg met Qatar’s ambassador Sheikh Ali bin Jassim al-Thani, on the sidelines of the celebration of the Luxembourg’s National Day.Grand Duke Henri  commended the strong relations between Qatar and Luxembourg.The ambassador congratulated Grand Duke Henri on the occasion.Armed forces exercisesThe General Command of the Armed Forces yesterday announced that the shooting maritime field (O.B.D-28) located in east of Mesaieed will be operational from July 17 to 31, from 6.00am. to 5pm daily. The field is located east of Mesaieed at a distance of approximately 40km. The General Command has advised visitors to the area be cautious.Mercedes-Benz models recalledThe Ministry of Economy and Commerce, in collaboration with Nasser Bin Khaled Automobiles, has announced the recall of Mercedes-Benz E-Class, GLK-Class and C-Class models of 2012-2013 to check the coolant pump.The Ministry of Economy and Commerce said the recall campaign comes within the framework of its ongoing efforts to protect consumers and ensure that car dealers follow up on vehicles’ defects and repair them.
